The EvoHealth Lab is an open-minded group that seeks to analyze mental health from an evolutionary perspective. We question the common view of depression being a maladaptive disorder. Research in the the EvoHealth Lab is multidisciplinary---integrating adaptationist perspectives, mental health, and cognition.

I joined the EvoHealth Lab in my third year, during which I dabbled in programming and helped conduct and refine experiments involving music and problem-solving. I am currently completing my undergraduate thesis and collaborating with Jacqueline Walsh; we are testing how a depressed mood affects problem-solving abilities.

After my undergraduate studies, I hope to take the valuable skills and knowledge I gained in this lab and pursue graduate studies in mental health psychology.
