I joined Dr. Andrews’ lab during my second year as a 2QQ3 student after Dr.Andrews’ presentation on the analytical rumination hypothesis. It was a refreshing view on depression amidst the mainstream idea that depression is a disorder. I’m currently investigating how one’s opinion about rumination affects the stigma associated with depression and treatment preferences. This line of research has future implications in current treatment practices, public views on depression, anti-stigma campaigns, and mental health awareness overall.

I am also working on a literature review regarding Problem-Solving Therapy (PST) as a treatment for depression and possible educational interventions for depression with Dr. Day as part of a 4Q03. In addition, I’m working on a digitized version of a modified PST with Tanor Bonin.
